It is well known that when you exercise, fat burning continues after you finish training.  This is known as  excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) as they body ‘pays back an oxygen debt’.

Japanese researchers have found that in a study that 24 hours post exercise (50% maximum, for 60 mins) that fat burning was greatest when exercise was done on an empty stomach than compared with those who had eaten.

They suggest to burn more fat, exercise on an empty stomach.  Whilst many studies have shown otherwise, many bodybuilders claim best results from this form of approach.  Consider it a method you could add to your arsenal if fat burning slows down or stops.
