entitledPost by Dylan Gemelli from ISARMS.com ~ I generally do not make an entire thread rant but this is beyond overdue… So here it goes…

Where does this sense of entitlement come from amongst so many? What happened so quickly?

I know that when I was in my early 20’s that I made many mistakes… I felt invincible and I made many poor decisions but I was never under the absurd thought that I was owed everything. I never believed that everyone had to tell me exactly what I wanted to hear…

Of course I would get upset when I was given the answers I wanted by I still accepted them and instead of crying, bitching and moaning, as well as threatening that “I am doing it anyway,” I would sit and think it through and realize that to get what I wanted, I had to put in the effort, the work, the time, etc…

I never became so disrespectful as to question and basically threaten those that were far more experienced than I.

I was never lazy… Yes, you may want to sleep in more when you are a bit younger or even older and overworked, or you may have a day or two you just want to take off but never did I expect to just have thing handed to me or to achieve anything without putting in the work and effort…

We always look for shortcuts or easier paths but after attempting it time and time again you begin to realize that everyone that told you there are no shortcuts were actually right… You may get ahead for the moment, but ultimately, you only further hinder yourself and dig yourself a deeper hole…

So many THINK that when they take a shortcut, that they can get away without putting in the effort, the work, etc… Not only does this not hold true but you also lack the experience and you also lack that feeling of accomplishment…

You do not possess the confidence to know you can accomplish anything… If you cheat, it always catches up… If you cheat on an exam, what happens when you get put into a real life situation when you need this skill? Then what do you do? If you had a doctor that cheated their way through their college courses, would that not scare you to know that you were going to someone with your life in their hands and they were lacking in certain areas because they took a short cut…??

Here is the reality… Steroids ARE NOT shortcuts… Steroids are for real athletes that have EXHAUSTED their training to the max… YOU DO NOT GET TO THIS POINT IN ONE YEAR, TWO YEARS ETC… I am SO SICK of people saying “I have trained for one whole year with little results so I want to use steroid.” WHAT A JOKE!!

Honestly, that is pathetic… It is shameful, weak, behavior to someone who clearly is scared to put in the work or address the fact they have no concept on how to eat and train… You use steroids after you have peaked out and YOU DO NOT PEAK IN YOUR EARLY 20’S… That is absurd and anyone saying otherwise is not even worth the discussion… You cannot reason with the unreasonable… It is a sad type of behavior and thought process…

It gets even worse…

Nowadays, people have these “feelings” that are impossible to deal with… If you find yourself near tears because someone says “Hi” to you wrong, or not for your liking, then good luck in the real world… If you cannot take constructive criticism, then good luck in life in general…

How on earth could you ever achieve success if you did not fail first? How could you improve? Are you already perfect? NO, you are not…

God and Jesus are the only ones that have ever been perfect… The point in this is that when you ask for help, or are learning how to do anything, YOU WILL MAKE MISTAKES… YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO… WHEN YOU NEED TO IMPROVE, YOU SHOULD WANT SOMEONE TO CORRECT YOU… YOU SHOULD WANT SOMEONE TO BE HONEST AND HELP YOU TO IMPROVE…

I am sorry but if you cannot take that, you have no business doing much of anything but staying home in your own little bubble… Thick skin screams success… It shows you have the ability to take words that are said, understand how to use these words to drive you to improve, to achieve and surpass your goals and to get respect deserved… If you cannot take that, especially if you are one who can dish it out because there are PLENTY that love to dish it but cannot take it, then you need to take a LONG look in the mirror because you are not going anywhere…

People need to GROW UP and understand that when you ask for help or you want to improve, you are asking for a reason… Not because you have all the answers but because you need the help… Utilize the words that are spoken to you… BE GRATEFUL THAT SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO HELP YOU… Things need to change in the world or more and more will find they never see true success…

I have the mentality of never being satisfied… I am happy when I achieve but it only makes me hungry for more… I AM SELF MOTIVATED… I DON’T NEED ANYONE TO MOTIVATE ME NOR DO I EVER RELY ON THAT FROM ANYONE… SELF INTRINSIC MOTIVATION BRINGS MORE SUCCESS… RELIANCE UPON OTHERS OFTEN YIELDS DISAPPOINTMENT… DO IT FOR YOU! DO IT FOR YOUR SPOUSE! DO IT FOR YOUR CHILDREN! DO IT TO SHOW OTHERS THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

Stop the me this and me that attitude and share with the world… Be an inspiration, a motivator and a prime example of success… Take pride in what you do and understand you can always improve, you an always learn more, you can always achieve more and you will find that you will live a life filled with more possibilities and far more success!
