A question we often see is when people diet they complain of feeling  hungry in the morning despite having eaten or perhaps having skipped breakfast entirely.

What happens if I skip breakfast or I eat and feel hungry after having my usual breakfast?
Skipping breakfast is linked to fat gain because it increases appetite and also linked to night time snacking later in the day.

What can this cause?
Well, it causes fat gain, which can leaded to many inflammatory based diseases (e.g. heart disease, diabetes etc).

So what do researchers say to do avoid hunger/snacking for breakfast?
A review conducted by University Of Missouri lead by Heather Leidy found feeding  high protein breakfast to those studied decreased appetite and altered hormone and system signals that cause one to eat.  Furthermore, those who ate high protein breakfasts ate fewer night time snacks compared to those who skipped breakfast.

What did they conclude?
High protein breakfasts curb appetite, promote fullness after meals and will probably help with weight control (due to lower night time snacking).
