Recently we were talking about triceps exercises and how to get the most out of isolated and combined/superset training, not only to maximize size and shape but also aesthetics.
Some struggle to get triceps to show no matter how mush focus and dedication is given, however for Matt personally (and he does not mean to brag) – he finds the triceps area of least concern. They just happen to be there, however we train triceps hard at least once a week for maintenance, shape and symmetry.
Recently the American Council of Exercise has revealed the three most effective triceps exercise:
- Triangle Push-Ups (with your fingers and thumbs touching)
- Dumbbell kickbacks
- Bench dips
Their effectiveness is dictated the muscle fibre activation during training. Simple theory? Would you give these claims a go and integrate the techniques in your training routine?
Our personal favorite triceps exercises are:
- Close-Grip Bench Press (Sets: Reps: Weight:)
- Cable French Press (Sets: Reps: Weight:)
- Push Downs (Sets: Reps: Weight:)
