Something that we already knew via other studies and something we’ve advised to our clients for a long time (unless they suffer bloating as a reaction to content of the drink) a recent study confirms that diet drinks help with weight management/loss.

Indeed “This study clearly demonstrates that diet beverages can in fact help people lose weight, directly countering myths in recent years that suggest the opposite effect — weight gain,” said a study co-author.

The 12-week clinical study of 303 participants is the first prospective, the study shows that subjects who consumed diet beverages lost an average of 13 pounds — 44 percent more than the control group, which lost an average of 9 pounds.

This isn’t to say not to drink water, it is simply to say do not fear the odd diet drink or few – it will not derail your progress.
