A question often asked – how do I grow muscle? This article below explains some ideas that may help.
It also includes some videos that, discuss the matter too from John Meadows and Matt Porter, some of the best coaches working in the bodybuilding world today!
-Be lean, between 10-15% body fat.
-1 to 1.5g protein per lb/day of bodyweight.
-Keep fats to around 50g per day if pushing in high carbs
-Carbs use them mostly for energy and pushing calories up
-Workout your calorie needs to grow (your TDEE) and then add a couple of hundred calories. Once you stop growing for 7-10 days, increase them by 150-200 calories. Rinse and repeat.
-Intense workouts. No chatting/talking for hours. Push outside your comfort zone, your body won’t grow with what it can do without issue.
-If hard gainer, minimize energy expenditure you don’t need or EAT MORE.
-Understand muscle growth is slow, 10lb a year would be MASSIVE.
-Eat food that you find easy to digest, not those that the bro’s say you should. Clearly whole foods are best, but if some bloat and make you ill, stop eating them!
-A small amount of junk is OK. For hard gainers it makes it easier to get calories in.
-If you get fat easy, don’t copy someone who finds it hard to grow. Match your intake and food types to how quickly you do, or don’t grow and indeed deposit fat.
