In a recent study by the California State University, Jeremy Tan, Jared Coburn and others, showed that lower body aerobics did not effect upper body performance when dealing with resistance.
It has been previously stated that aerobics and weights interfere with each ย other as they share metabolic pathways inย muscle.
They found that when performing back squats, aerobic activity effected resistance loads possible. ย However when lower body aerobics was performed and upper body bench press performed, there was no effect on loads lifted.
This information is useful for when designing exercise program design.
