Fiona tells us: Next time someone says women who lift weights look like men, I’m gonna show them this pic and say ‘Oh really?‘ ….
I spent 18 weeks depriving myself of treats and working my butt off in the gym 6 days a week to get ready for these pics …
Well I am 52 so it was now or never… I won’t lie, it was hard… I was starving and I don’t do hunger!!!
Georgia cheered me on the whole way …if I so much as glanced at a bar of chocolate, she gave me a withering look of disgust and disappointment… and that right here, ladies and gentleman, stopped any cravings stone dead.
She took my progress pics, cheered me along when I wanted to give up and even threw treats in the bin so I wouldn’t eat them.
And so it became not about wearing make-up and posing … it was about me showing her I could succeed and not fail… about me having a goal and showing her I could work hard to make it come true… about me picking myself up and turning a negative into a positive after Paul left.
So sorry / not sorry to anyone who doesn’t approve of these pics, I really don’t care!
Life is too short and this experience was about me learning to like myself again and about building up my self-esteem after 2 yeas of having it destroyed.
Big shout out to Matt Wild and Yo Wild who helped me get in shape and to Trazanne McCready at Xperience Boudoir for my gorgeous make-up and pics …you’ve made an auld doll very happy!
