In what seems like a bad plot from the 70/80’s sci fi movies, scientists recently have looked into whether it was possible to grow a replacement vagina.

At Federico Gomez Children’s Hospital Mexico, lead by a team from Wake Forest School Of Mexico they looked into whether it was possible.

Using cells from the woman’s own body, using laboratory scaffolding that degrades after implanting, they constructed the planned vagina and implanted into the woman’s body.

Six months after surgery the patient could have intercourse and menstruate normally.

Scientists are now working a normally function artificial penis.
