Many people have stated the benefits of Omega 3 as wide ranging, and one of them claimed is muscle retention.


Washington University Of Medicene supplemented the diets of 40 older adults for 6 months.


Fish oil slowed muscle loss associated with age, known as sarcopenia.


This was shown in many ways including leg press, chest press and leg extension,  and on thigh muscle volume.


They concluded that Omega 3 fatty acid supplements may help prevent muscle loss with ageing and improve cell health and over all longevity.
