Test subjects were given 80g of protein in the 12 hours following weight training.

 

Subjects were given 10g every 1.5 hours, 20g every 3 hours or 40g every 6 six hours.

 

The best level of muscle protein synthesis was found to be every 3 hoursΒ for the 12 hours following weight training.
